Springfield Missouri & Area Attractions
Springfield is a diverse city being an area business hub. Withing the business community there are major trucking companies, grocery distribution, stainless steel fabrication plants, excellent medical services and retail outlets to name a few. There are also several universities with related activities and events. Springfield is also a center for sports activities, soccer, tennis, ten-pin bowling, college sports, and hosts the Springfield Cardinals as well as many annual sports events of note.
Set on a plateau on the northern edge of the Ozarks mountains, Springfield is ideally located for you to enjoy the many area features and attractions. For anyone who enjoys the great outdoors, you’ll find it here within easy reach. There are lakes filled with an abundance of fish, and woodlands rich in wildlife. Then for the show lover, Springfield is a short 35-minute drive from Branson. Springfield is served by two airports: Springfield/Branson National Airport, and is near Downtown Airport (3DW)
